Wedding Attire
When it comes to organizing the wedding attire for the bride and groom, you need to allow plenty of time. The grooms attire will be easy to organize. He and his attendants, including ushers, simply go well in advance and rent their tuxedo, safe in the knowledge that everything else they need will be supplied with it - often even down to the shoes.
Determining Color Scheme
However, they can't even do this until the bride and groom have decided on a color scheme for the wedding and this usually means that the bride needs to decide what she wants to wear first. With this in mind, the bride's wedding dress should be high on the wedding planning checklist, and should be thought about at least 6 -12 months in advance.
Budget
It is appropriate here to mention the budget. Wedding dresses can range from the inexpensive to thousands of dollars. The bride and groom need to sit down and discuss how much of their budget they are willing to allocate for the whole wedding attire package, and then within that, how much for the bride. Remember, she will also need accessories, shoes, jewelry, and a host of other things to go with it, and both need to allow for this within the budget. Once the budget is decided, it is down to the bride to stick to it!
Take Time To Shop
Although most women will know what kind of wedding dress they want, they will still want to ponder over bridal magazine, visit shops, try on different styles before making their final choice. It is advisable to allow at least 6 weeks of 'pondering' time, before you expect a decision to be made.
Get The Perfect Fit
Once the bride has finally found the dress of her dreams, she will need to return on numerous occasions for fittings. She can expect her weight to fluctuate madly during this time, and the dress needs to be fitting perfectly on the big day. Of course it does not end with simply finding the dress. She will need underwear, garter, jewelry and a host of other accessories to go with it. If she is lucky, the same outlet where she has found her dress will be able to supply these, but there will be occasions where she has to shop around a little.
