CZ Gold Wedding Rings
CZ wedding rings are quite popular as they are beautiful, yet affordable. Science and beauty intersected at almost 5,000 degrees in 1937 when German scientists discovered a method to create flawless crystals. By the 1980s, the resulting Cubic Zirconia created by Swarovski & Co. had set the jewelry world afire by offering fabulous-looking jewelry at affordable prices.
The Cubic Zirconia allows for the appeal of genuine diamonds for customers who can.t, or prefer not to, spend that much. Weighing 75% more than a loose diamond, the CZ does provide less sparkle, yet it can hardly be detected by the uninformed eye. Cubic Zirconia stones at 10x magnification will show you their facets, yet their intersections are not as straight as a diamond's.
I love the amount of money you can save by buying a CZ Gold wedding ring -- BUT both parties of the couple must agree beforehand. Many couples are finding that getting a diamond 5-10 years later as an anniversary ring is much easier on the budget and allows them to save for a house.
Cubic Zirconia is often set in gold to enhance its value and permanence. When combined, gold and Zirconia are a perfect pair for men.s and women.s rings. Because gold jewelry is priced according to its purity, or karat weight, its purity affects the cost of gold/CZ ring. A karat, or carat, of gold is 1/24th part of pure gold. This pure gold is often alloyed with other metals (copper, nickel, silver, and/or zinc) to increase its hardness and decrease its cost.
White, rose, or green gold are not naturally occurring. Gold is mined naturally with only one color: yellow. All of other "colors" are a combination of pure 24K yellow gold with several other metals. The percentage of the other metals (copper, silver, zinc, nickel) produces the different shades of gold. Any karat other than 24K gold (pure gold) is called an "alloy".
Rose gold, known by other names such as red gold or pink gold, is created by increasing the copper-colored alloys and decreasing the any silver-colored additives. White gold results when alloys tone down the yellow gold. This white gold is commonly used for Cubic Zirconia settings, too.
